There’s a secret about academic interviews which hardly ever gets passed on: they are predictable. In fact, they are incredibly predictable. This workshop will explore why that is, and what, from an academic search committee’s point of view, the psychology of academic interviewing really is. We will look in detail at common interview questions – how to anticipate them, how to prepare for them, and what a good answer sounds like – so that you have all the tools you need to perform well at your next interview.
